The Daily Catch opened its doors in 1973 in North End and has since been serving “high-quality, fresh fare” according to Zagat, which rates the food “very good to excellent” (24). With this exclusive Local Deal, two can savor lunch or dinner for $29, regularly $48.25, at the Seaport location Boston Magazine named Best of Boston 2011 and one of Gayot’s 2012 Top 10 Boston Seafood Restaurants.

Take a seat in the dining room or dine alfresco on the harborside patio, which Zagat says boasts an “impressive waterfront view,” and select:

• Two cups of soup, such as clam chowder Boston Magazine calls “heart-warming" or soup of the day

• One family-style pasta, served in the pan it was cooked in with choices like shrimp, scallops and broccoli with either seafood tomato or white garlic sauce; mussels marinara; or homemade black pasta with mushrooms and peppers in anchovy butter with choice of shrimp, scallops or chicken
