The Deal

Zagat rates both the cuisine and the setting at mar'sel at Terranea "extraordinary" (26), and also names it one of its best South Bay restaurants. For $99, Travelzoo subscribers can take in sweeping views of the Pacific while savoring an exclusive four-course dinner for two with wine that's regularly $192.

For this menu, chef Michael Fiorelli -- who worked at The Inn at Little Washington and Simon LA -- sources local ingredients, including some from the eatery's herb and citrus garden. Select:

First course (for the table):
• A selection of artisan charcuterie: La Quercia prosciutto, Fra' Mani salami, chicken liver mousse and toasted rustic bread

Second course (choice of):
• Local baby lettuce with satsuma tangerine, watermelon radish and Santa Barbara pistachio vinaigrette
• Wild mushroom and barley “risotto” with braised pork cheek, grilled green garlic, soft-cooked egg and black truffle butter
• Crispy Shelton Farms chicken thigh with ricotta pudding, caponata and artichoke puree

Third course (choice of):
• Washington state steelhead trout with chanterelle mushrooms, English peas, pea tendrils and Meyer lemon
• Red curry lamb belly with black rice, pickled green papaya, raita and homemade naan
• Roasted California duck breast with hen of the wood mushrooms, black grapes, wild arugula and Kendall Farms creme fraiche

Fourth course (choice of):
• Pudwell Farms blueberry crisp with brown butter, oats, caramel and vanilla ice cream
• Milk chocolate budino with whipped mascarpone and salted caramel cookies
• A selection of seasonal sorbets

Any two glasses of wine (up to $15 each)
