The Deal

Take in ocean views and live music as you sample regional California coastal cuisine and locally crafted beer and wine at the AAA 4-Diamond Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. For $29 per person, attend the "Live From Loews: California Classics" chef's tasting and concert event on Friday, Aug. 17 or Sept. 14. This ticket, which includes complimentary valet parking, is regularly $55.

The event takes place in the hotel's dramatic five-story lobby lined with 45-foot palm trees. Mingle there, in the cozy Fireside Lounge or on the poolside terrace, which boasts views of Santa Monica Beach, the pier and the mountains.

Food stations vary for each event and may include sushi from the hotel's Sushi at Sunset, tacos on handmade flour tortillas, brick-oven pizza, a wok station with fried rice and Asian noodles, and ice cream sundaes. Complement the cuisine with California wine and locally crafted beer.

On Aug. 17, the Acoustic Saints will be playing live, and on Sept. 14, guests can hear tunes from the John Brown Band.
