The Deal

Look forward to the warm months of summer and plan ahead to days spent outdoors with this Local Deal from Detour Winery. For $20, regularly $40, two people can attend an all-day wine and music festival in Keymar, Md., less than 70 miles from downtown Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The vineyard won awards at the 2012 Winemasters Choice and 36th International Eastern Wine Competition.

Each festival includes tastings, which may range from five to 10 pours per person. Try wines like 2011 Crimson Glory Dry, Alpine Frost, Pear (fruit wine), Passion (red raspberry dessert wine) or Winter Solstice (ice wine). Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lounge chairs, food and non-alcoholic beverages.

The $20 voucher is valid for choice of 1 event redeemable on June 29; July 6; Aug. 31; Sept. 1, 28, 29; or Oct. 26 only. The $100 voucher is valid for all 7 events. Reservations are not required as this is a date-specific event and voucher is to be used as your ticket. Tickets are priced for adults 21 years old and older. Those under 20 years old are free with a paid adult. Present voucher and photo ID at the event entrance upon arrival. No refunds or exchanges. Not valid after event date. If an event is canceled due to inclement weather, a rain date will be proposed. No outside alcohol is permitted at the event. Must be of legal drinking age to consume alcohol.
