The Deal

For $20, escape to the country for a wine tasting experience only 30 minutes north of downtown Baltimore at Basignani Winery on Falls Road in Sparks, Md., which The Baltimore Sun featured in its 100 Things We Love About Baltimore. Regularly $43, Travelzoo subscribers receive a wine-and-cheese tasting for two with a bottle to take home at the family-owned vineyard that celebrates 26 years of wine-making this year.

This deal can be used Wednesdays-Sundays and includes:

• Two wine tastings including eight half-ounce pours per person served in Riedel stemware: Subscribers will receive four pours preselected by the winery and select the remaining four pours with options such as chardonnay, riesling, cabernet and semi-sweet Marisa Dolce red wine

• Shareable artisan cheese board paired with each preselected wine with selections that change daily but may include asiago and Parmesan

• One bottle of Lorenzino Reserve Cabernet to take home, a barrel-selected wine aged in French oak for two years

Guests are welcome to walk around the grounds, which covers 11 acres. Bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy on the tented patio while taking in the scenic countryside views.

Tasting room is open Wednesday - Saturday 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 12-6 p.m. Not available on: Dec. 1, 2, 8 and 9. Limit 1 voucher per visit. This voucher is valid for 2 guests only.
