This $169 package includes a two-night weekday stay in a two-bedroom condo. Weekend and three-night packages are also discounted. A five-night package that includes four rounds of golf, four ball baskets and four range tokens is available for $499.

Ideal for adventure-seekers, the resort boasts a 50-acre lake, fishing, paddleboating, row boating, hiking and miniature golf. Horse trails and golf are available for a nominal fee. For those who prefer to relax, lounge at one of two pools, unwind in the sauna or take a dip in the resort’s hot tub.

The German alpine village of Helen is six miles away. Visitors there can soak in the history of the area from the legend of the Nacoochee Indian Mound to the site of the first gold rush in the “New World.”

The resort is located in Cleveland, Ga., 45 minutes northeast of Atlanta. It is 2.5 hours from Chattanooga and Asheville, and 3.5 hours from Knoxville.
