With luxurious suites twice the size of an average Manhattan hotel room, the Conrad New York hotel is cutting its current rates in half.
Stay Thursdays-Sundays, January-March, for $199 per night. Stay Dec. 16-25, including Christmas, for $169 per night. All bookings come with free Wi-Fi ($14 value).
The one-bedroom units at this new 5-star hotel all have a king bed and a separate living room with elegant furnishings and contemporary artwork. Add $30 per night for a room with two double beds.
A soaring 15-story lobby atrium houses a Mediterranean wine bar and restaurant with views toward New York Harbor. Wall Street, the Brooklyn Bridge and the September 11 Memorial are a short walk away.
Travelzoo Tip: Being so close to so many attractions and subway lines, guests won't need a car for sightseeing. Self-park it at the hotel for an additional $25 per night Thursdays-Sundays (regularly $65).
