Rates have fallen as much as 40% at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers, a historic hotel in the Back Bay close to top sights and shopping.

Visit Nov. 30 - Feb. 28 for $89 per night, including Christmas and Hanukkah. Stay Dec. 31, Jan. 3-5 and Feb. 14-16 for $169 per night.

The posh shops of Newbury Street are a short walk away, and Boston Common is just two blocks over, where visitors can ice skate on Frog Pond and see the Christmas tree.

Several mass transit stations are also close by, offering quick trips to dozens of attractions, from the Paul Revere House to Faneuil Hall and the harbor.

Note: Bookings are nonrefundable and non-cancelable. There is a two-night minimum on Saturday stays.
