For $119 per night, stay along 107 acres of Pacific coastline at a Monterey Peninsula hotel. This promotion shaves 45% off current rates and includes breakfast and parking.

Retreat to the Asilomar Conference Grounds in July and September -- including weekends. For $10 more per night, travel in August.

Steps from Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, the hotel is also a two-minute drive to Pebble Beach's famed 17-Mile Drive. The best of downtown, including the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, are three miles from the hotel.

The hotel opened in 1913 and was designed by the architect of Hearst Castle. Most guest rooms feature a patio or balcony.

Fall travel is also discounted to $99 per night for October and November stays.
