Steps from Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, the hotel is also a two-minute drive to Pebble Beach's famed 17-Mile Drive. The best of downtown, including the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, is three miles from the hotel.

The hotel opened in 1913 and was designed by the architect of Hearst Castle. Most guest rooms feature a patio or balcony.
