As summer heats up in the rolling green mountains of Vermont, The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort is cutting its rates in half.

Stay Sunday-Thursday through Sept. 20 for $79 per night. Weekends are $149 per night (regularly $199).

All bookings come with a $25 credit toward a 50-minute massage at the full-service Aveda spa and a $25 credit toward a gourmet three-course prix fixe dinner for two guests at the Castle Restaurant (dining credit valid Sunday-Thursday). The resort also has hot tubs, pools and a fitness center.

Hike along Okemo Mountain's scenic trails, ride horseback through the valleys, or tee up at one of several area golf courses. Charming boutiques and art galleries dot the streets of the nearby town center.

Note: There is a two-night minimum on Friday-Saturday stays.
