With luxurious suites twice the size of an average Manhattan hotel room, the Conrad New York hotel is offering a summer special that saves 50% compared with rates at similar hotels.

For $219 per night, stay Fridays-Sundays through Sept. 3. Add $80 per night to stay midweek. All bookings coming with free Wi-Fi (a $15 daily value). 

The one-bedroom units at this new 5-star hotel all have separate living rooms with elegant furnishings and contemporary artwork. Add $70 to either rate to upgrade to a room on a higher floor with views of the river.

A rooftop bar offers a panorama of the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor. Wall Street, the Brooklyn Bridge and the September 11 Memorial are a short walk away.

Also available: Being so close to so many attractions and subway lines, guests won't need a car for sightseeing. Self-park it at the hotel for an additional $25 per night Thursday-Sunday, or an additional $42 per night Monday-Wednesday (regularly $65).
