As part of LA's Big Summer Sleepover sale, the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens is one of 15 hotels to release special prices for summer travel to Los Angeles -- peak season in the land of sunshine, surfing and celebrities.

The hotel has dropped its rates by 20% over the following dates:

• $120 ... midweek dates in August
• $128 ... weekend dates in August

Located on the edge of Little Tokyo in the heart of Civic Center, the hotel is known for its "Garden in the Sky" -- a half-acre replica of a 400-year-old Tokyo strolling garden. The garden is on the third floor of the hotel and offers guests a relaxing Zen retreat.

Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens has immediate access to the freeways and is a short drive from Universal Studios and Hollywood. Kyoto Grand features three restaurants, two bars, a Starbucks, spa and a complimentary shuttle within a three-mile radius.
