About the hotel: The 4-star Hotel Lutetia is an institution in Paris, known as one of the first major Art Deco buildings which inspired much of the city’s architecture. Once owned by the famous Taittinger family, the hotel is reputed for hosting many famous writers and artists, including Matisse, Picasso and Josephine Baker, and was also where Charles de Gaulle chose to spend his honeymoon. It is located across the street from the posh Bon Marché department store and in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés boutique shopping district.
