The special cuts three- or six-night stays in a Terraza room to effectively $263 per night Aug. 18 - Oct. 31. This room at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo normally costs $395 during this time, and shoots up to $625 just a few months later.

For all other lengths of stay, book the resort credit deal -- which brings the price to $295 after a $100 daily credit is applied.

Named by Frommer's as the "most luxurious and impressive large-scale resort" in the country, this resort also nabbed spots on Travel and Leisure's Top 500 list and Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List for the past five years.

Highlights include three pools, an 18-hole Arnold Palmer-designed golf course and these features:
