Labor Day might mark the end of our summer season, but don't put your shorts and swimsuits in storage just yet. Visit major cities in South America September-November to enjoy warm weather south of the border. We compiled a list including 4- and 5-star hotel deals in capitals across the continent to coincide with this LAN Airlines sale.

Bogota, Colombia: Radisson Royal Bogota Hotel ... $127 weekends/$203 weekdays (15% off regular rates)

Visitors to the Radisson Royal Bogota Hotel can experience the old-world charm and popular attractions such as the Gold Museum and Mount Monserrate without wandering very far. The hotel is in the picturesque Usaquen area, where trendy restaurants serving cutting-edge cuisine coexist with unique shops selling native handicrafts. After a long day touring town, sip handcrafted local beers at the Bogota Brewery Company's Usaquen location, just a mile from the hotel. Update: Discounted rate is no longer available in September.

Santiago de Chile, Chile: Ritz-Carlton, Santiago ... $201 weekends/$299 weekdays (45% off competing hotels)

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Andean Mountain range, this 5-star hotel is in El Golf, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Santiago. Not Available on: Sept. 12; Oct. 22; Nov. 9-11, 21.

Buenos Aires, Argentina: Sofitel Buenos Aires ... Stay 3 nights, get 1 free effective rate: $248-$259 September/$259-$270 October-November (reg. $360)
