Visit Cheeca Lodge & Spa Sundays-Thursdays through Dec. 21 for $159 per night, or visit Jan. 3-31 for $199 per night. Add $50 to either rate to stay Fridays-Saturdays.

Guests check in to an upgraded West Indies-inspired room that has mahogany furnishings, pillow-top mattresses, a marble bathroom with soaking tub and rain shower, and a private screened balcony overlooking the tropical landscaping. For $50 more per night, upgrade again to a one-bedroom suite with kitchen.

Covering 27 lush acres, the resort has a restaurant serving fresh seafood, waterfalls, a spa, fishing pier and tennis courts.

Note: The nightly resort fee has been cut in half to $20 per night, which covers bicycle rentals, sea kayaks, fishing rods, greens fees and clubs at the nine-hole golf course, valet parking, Wi-Fi and more. There is a two-night minimum on Saturdays.
