The Out Islands of the Bahamas has launched a promotion for travel through Feb. 28: Book a minimum six-night stay at participating hotels and resorts by Dec. 19, and receive a $300 airfare credit (per reservation).

Among our favorite deals within this bigger sale is from Carriearl Boutique Hotel on the Berry Islands. Relax here for $150 per night, including transportation from the islands' airport, a welcome cocktail for two on arrival and daily continental breakfast.

The boutique hotel is a total of four suites with individual bathrooms and wireless Internet access. Other amenities include a pool, bar, restaurant and bike/kayak rentals. Boat trips and bone fishing can also be arranged (for a cost) through the hotel.

About the Berry Islands: Most of the 30 islands that make up the Berry Islands chain are uninhabited or owned by wealthy people as second homes. The islands are known for game fishing (tuna, wahoo and yellowtail snapper), along with snorkeling and scuba diving.
