Soaring over the eastern edge of Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains are America's most visited national park. See what all the fuss is about by staying at the Glenstone Lodge in Gatlinburg, a town at the foot of the mountains.

The lodge has cut its prices in half to $49 per night, Sundays-Thursdays in September and Nov. 11 - Dec. 27, for rooms with mountain views. Weekends are $10 more per night.

A deal is also available as fall colors sweep over the Smokies. Visit Oct. 7 - Nov. 10 for $59 per night Sunday-Thursday and $79 per night on weekends.

There are 800 miles of hiking trails through the park, 700 miles of streams for fishing, 80 historic structures including barns and log cabins, and herds of elk, white-tailed deer and black bears.
