This is the 10th year the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine have awarded hotels and resorts around the globe the designation of World’s Best. Only 500 earn this honor out of an estimated 187,000 hotels worldwide (number from Smith Travel Research).
In this week’s Top 20 newsletter, we featured several properties that were recognized for their superior service, top-notch details and postcard-worthy views. Stays at one of these acclaimed properties have been cut by as much as 60% for travel into February.
The Breakers Palm Beach: “Money seems to have been no object with the lobby and sitting rooms” at the 5-star property, according to the Travel + Leisure editors, who also praise the “breezily tropical rooms” and private poolside cabanas. Rates start at $219 per night for stays into December, which is 60% off peak-season rates.
Encore Las Vegas: This fall, spend three luxurious nights on The Strip at the resort praised for its “verdant gardens and pools” amid the arid desert. These jaunts, with departure cities across the West, start at $311 per person for travelers leaving from LA.
The Whiteface Lodge: Escape to the Adirondacks to experience the “white-pine beams, cast-iron fireplaces, and well-equipped rooms” praised by T + L. In a package exclusive to Travelzoo, guests can stay in a one-bedroom suite and receive a $75 dining credit plus 15% off spa treatments for $249 per night. Note: This offer ends Friday.
Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa: Rates at the recently renovated eco-friendly resort are now 45% off, leaving travelers extra spending money for meals at the six restaurants and treatments at the spa set along Kauai’s famed sands. Get away for $279 per night Nov. 1 - Dec. 23.
The Homestead: Just outside of Roanoke sits a property where “old Virginia hospitality permeates every aspect of guests’ stays.” Sample it yourself with a package that includes valet parking and a choice of one activity ranging from golf, ski and horseback riding for $349 for two nights. This is 55% off regular rates.
Dromoland Castle: One stop on this four-city castle tour of Ireland is to the place called “one of Ireland's most storied castles, in a fairy-tale setting, to boot” by T + L reviewers. This vacation package is available for departures select dates November-February, starting at $899 per person from New York. Note: This offer ends Thursday.
Omni Bedford Springs: Recognized by readers for its value, rates at this property have been cut in half, to $149-$159 per night,for stays through December. The resort is home to eight mineral springs and a heated, indoor spring-fed pool.
