E-mail-dependent international travelers, rejoice. United Airlines has announced it has outfitted one of its Boeing 747 planes with a satellite-based Internet connection, allowing flyers to get online while aboard some international flights.
United said it aims to have 20 planes on international routes outfitted by the end of 2013; another plane is set to be completed by next month.
As for costs, it will depend on the flight’s length. For standard speed, it will be between $3.99-$14.99; higher-speed connections will range from $5.99-$19.99.
