Top 20 Highlights from May 30
Travel + Leisure's 500 World's Best Hotels list highlights plush properties selected by magazine readers as their favorite places to stay both near and far from home. In this week’s Top 20 newsletter, we featured three hotels that made the 2012 list.
- Mansion on Forsyth Park: In Savannah's Historic District, this hotel is “furnished with gold chandeliers, Versace armchairs upholstered in faux-leopard skin, and more than 400 original artworks,” according to the magazine. For $129 per night, stay Sundays-Thursdays, June-August. Weekends are $50 more per night.
- Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas: In its first year on the list, the hotel is praised by the magazine for providing “something unexpected in the heart of Sin City: a family- and pet-friendly resort.” Weekday stays through Sept. 6 have been discounted by 50% to $89 per night. Visit over the weekend for $30 more per night.
- Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa: Touted for its value, the resort has cut its rates to $269 per night for rooms with partial ocean views June 25 - Sept. 30. The magazine praises the property for its director of astronomy, who teaches guests about constellations with the rooftop telescope.
