With summer’s end drawing near it’s time to set aside your lounge chair and pick up a bucket as the 27th annual California Coastal Cleanup Day nears.

Last year more than 82,500 volunteers spent the morning scanning beaches, wetlands and lakes across California to collectively discard of over 1 million pounds of debris.

Grab your friends, family and colleagues and head down to your local beach this Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. - noon to partake in California Coastal Cleanup Day. Click here to learn more on how to get involved.
