Super Bowl Savings

Not going to be able to make it to Indianapolis for Super Bowl weekend? That doesn't mean you are condemned to spending this unofficial national holiday on your couch, watching expensive commercials and snacking on Aunt Linda's taco dip.

Why not visit one of these four cities for a memorable Super Bowl experience?

Chicago: It's not Indianapolis, but it's the largest major airport near Indianapolis. If you are a gung-ho fan of the Patriots or Giants and just need to be in Indy for Super Bowl XLVI, flights are much cheaper into Chicago. (Check here for Fly.com fare calendars from Boston and New York.) From there, rest up a night or two at the Hard Rock, then rent a car and drive down a few hours down I-65 for the big game. You'll need the money you saved on these deals for a scalped ticket.

Boston or New York City: Pick a side and cheer on the gridiron heroes in their hometown at a local pub. Hotels in both cities are very affordable in the winter -- check out this deal at Boston's historic Omni Parker House for $105 per night or pick a spot in the Big Apple with this sale at 15 different Starwood hotels, including Westin, Sheraton and W. Make sure to wear the right colors and get ready to celebrate afterwards.

Las Vegas: If the regular old betting games at your co-worker's party have gotten lame, fly to Sin City and lay down some green on everything from the coin toss to the number of interceptions thrown by Tom Brady or Eli Manning. Settle in at a sportsbook (get there early) make your bets and watch the big game with folks that have a deep rooting interest. Weekends often command a premium in Vegas, and this weekend is no exception. Despite that, we found a deal at the Platinum Las Vegas -- $99 for a suite just off The Strip. Or go for the ultimate sports bar experience (and the wings) and stay at Hooters Las Vegas for $18-$59 per night. Take those savings right to the bank, or the sportsbook, or the buffet line, or the craps table....

But for those die-hard fans, fear not. We've uncovered this offer that includes a game day ticket, hotel and fan experience for a discounted price.
