See Los Angeles From Your Bike

While the rest of the country is starting to get a bit chilly, Southern California is still a great place to go for a bike ride.

  • Check out The Strand -- a 26-mile boardwalk and bike path connecting the beaches from Santa Monica to Redondo.
  • Griffith Park has hiking paths, mountain bike trails and horseback riding routes … all with views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills.
  • Ride your bike through the Newport Beach Back Bay for a peaceful retreat not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and Ecological Reserve is spread across thousands of acres of marshlands, and is one of the few estuaries left in SoCal.
  • The Huntington Beach bike trail is eight miles long starting in Sunset Beach. It passes the Huntington Beach pier and the Bolsa Chica wildlife preserve, and the best part is that the entire trail is oceanfront.
Looking for a place to lay your head after a long day exploring on the trails? Rooms start as low as $80 per night.
