This Saturday, Sept. 29, more than 170,000 volunteers are expected to be taking part in National Public Lands Day across the United States. Get outdoors and help keep public areas, parks and historic sites by assisting in events in your area.

Activities include: beach cleanup, landscaping, food harvest, gardening, historic site restoration and more.

Enjoy fee-free entrance on National Public Lands Day at a number of public lands and parks including Yosemite, Grand Teton and Yellowstone.
