From coast to coast, the United States is abound with natural beauty, and the summer’s the perfect time of year to get outside and enjoy it. The National Park Service is now making it even more tempting to head outdoors for some fresh air by waiving entrance fees to 146 national parks and historic sites on Aug. 14-15. Experience some the nation’s most breathtaking natural wonders, including Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.
National Park Concessioners also have jumped on the “freebie” bandwagon by offering discounts on boat rentals, horseback riding and gift shop merchandise.
Don’t fret if you can’t make the August dates, national parks and sites will also be free Sept. 25 and Nov. 11.
