Seattle is approximately 2,850 miles from Lincoln Center Plaza, but that doesn’t mean its residents can’t experience the stunning performances taking place in New York. Thanks to “The Met: Live in HD,” performances by the renowned Metropolitan Opera can be viewed around the country.
The Emmy-winning program broadcasts live performances of the renowned Metropolitan Opera from Lincoln Center to more than 650 movie theaters nationwide. Prices vary from theater to theater, but typically cost $18-$25, which means attending a world-class opera is easier and more affordable than ever.
The seventh season launches in theaters throughout the country on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 12:55 p.m. EST with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.” The showing will feature the all-new production of the comedic opera, plus exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes features.
