Met Opera Coming to Movie Screens Nationwide

Seattle is approximately 2,850 miles from Lincoln Center Plaza, but that doesn’t mean its residents can’t experience the stunning performances taking place in New York. Thanks to “The Met: Live in HD,” performances by the renowned Metropolitan Opera can be viewed around the country.

The Emmy-winning program broadcasts live performances of the renowned Metropolitan Opera from Lincoln Center to more than 650 movie theaters nationwide. Prices vary from theater to theater, but typically cost $18-$25, which means attending a world-class opera is easier and more affordable than ever.

The seventh season launches in theaters throughout the country on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 12:55 p.m. EST with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.” The showing will feature the all-new production of the comedic opera, plus exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes features.
