January: A Sweet Spot for Sun & Ski Savings

The weeks after the holidays represent a sweet spot of savings, when leisure travel dips from a holiday high and stays low until the beginning of the spring break ramp-up. Popular beach and ski destinations from Vail to the Virgin Islands are actually affordable in January, before rates start to spike in February and March.
