InterContinental Hotels Pays Guests Checked-Bag Fees

InterContinental Hotels is encouraging its weekend guests to overpack. That extra pair of shoes? Bring ‘em along. Full-size bottles of shampoo? Why not bring two? The hotel chain is reimbursing travelers for checked-bag fees in a promotion running through the end of the year. Guests who stay any weekend through Dec. 30 and pay with a Visa card will receive a prepaid Visa card worth as much as $50.

If you’ve stayed at one of the chain’s 4,500 hotels over a weekend date since Sept. 1, you can fill out this form online to get reimbursed. Participating brands include InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites. This promotion can be combined with some outstanding deals at hotels across the country.

And if bringing a lot isn’t your style, guests can always leave room in their bags for souvenirs from their weekend travels.
