Free Concerts at Chicago’s Millennium Park

Pack up a picnic, dig out the blankets and head to Chicago’s Millennium Park this summer for a series of free, family-friendly outdoor concerts.

“Downtown Sound: New Music Mondays” is in its third season of bringing an eclectic mix of musicians to play free shows at Jay Pritzker Pavilion every Monday night through July 25. The double-bill shows start at 6:30 p.m., but be sure to get there early -- once the temperatures heat up, there’s no keeping Chicagoans indoors.

The lineup is:

  • Phosphorescent and Campbell Brothers, June 13
  • Kings Go Forth and Ben L’Oncle Soul, June 20
  • Low and Glen Hansard, June 27
  • Seefeel and Cave, July 4
  • Delicate Steve and Bombino, July 11
  • Blonde Redhead and My Gold Mask, July 18
  • Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and Rachel Ries, July 25

Or, check out the Pritzker Pavilion daily at noon for the free “Lunchbreak Music Series.” Each day features a different genre of music, including “Jazz, Blue and Beyond” on Mondays, “Electric Picnic” on Saturdays and “American Roots” on Sundays. Click here for the full schedule.
