Food for Thought

The days of British food being mocked the world over are long gone. The country now boasts a host of world-class chefs, such as Heston Blumenthal, Marcus Wareing and Tom Aikens, and people have a real enthusiasm for all things foodie.

We’re seeing more and more companies cooking up foodie-related deals to whet our appetites.

We published this deal from Llangoed Hall, with a three-course dinner at the hotel’s 2-AA-Rosette restaurant. The offer, which also includes two nights accommodation, afternoon tea and a bottle of wine, is $173 (£109) per person -- more than $159 (£100) cheaper than regular prices.

There are also great opportunities to learn how to cook. lastminute.com is offering a two-for-one on the Everyday Cookery course at L’Atelier des Chefs. For $57 (£36), you and a mate can cook a two-course meal and learn from a chef trained at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Click here for information.
