Arlington received the biggest gift of all over the past few weeks -- the Texas Rangers extending the baseball season into November with the team's trip to the World Series. But The Rangers are not the only big thing happening in this north Texas town. Sports has been the main draw with the opening of Cowboys Stadium (aka Jerry World), the NBA All-Star Game was held in February this year, and in 2011 Super Bowl XLV comes to town on Feb. 6.
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and if you have not had a chance to visit Arlington this is a great time to do so. Now that cooler temperatures have arrived it’s time to get out and explore all that this once quiet city between Dallas and Fort Worth has to offer:
If you are looking to save a bundle while visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex -- grab the DFW Attractions Pass, which gives guests admission to seven popular locations and discounts at a number of other spots around town. And of course, be sure to check out our Texas hotels page with the latest travel specials in north Texas and all over the state.
