Book These Offers with Waived Resort Fees
Another way to bring down the cost of a night away is too book offers with reduced -- or even waived -- resort fees.
These fees, whether per stay or per night, can surprise travelers who don’t read the fine print by adding as much as 25% on top of the room rate. What exactly do they cover? Current offers with waived fees include:
- InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa: This Scottsdale resort, with availability through September, is waving two fees -- the $24 daily resort fee and the $10 daily self-parking fee. This offer is 30% off current prices in the market.
- Temecula Creek Inn: For Sunday-Thursday visits through Sept. 25, this Wine Country property has slashed 55% off current room rates and eliminated its $12 resort fee.
- Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa: A value of $16.50 per day, resort fees have been comped at this 4-star Monterey hotel. The $165 nightly rate also includes a $50 gas card per stay May 30 - July 16.
- La Torretta Lake Resort: An hour north of Houston, this AAA 4-Diamond property has waived its $15 daily resort fee. For $189, stay through August.
