Autumn Culinary Adventures

Fall is my favorite time of year for a number of reasons, but mainly for the food. All around the country, harvest-inspired items are popping up on restaurant menus, and farmers markets are chock-full of squash, pumpkins and apples. What better time than now to hone your culinary skills?

Take advantage of one of the following cooking courses with a deal from Travelzoo:

  • Bay AreaITK (In the Kitchen) Culinary in Sausalito offers a variety of gourmet cooking classes, with everything from sushi workshops to the basics of classic Thai cooking. ITK utilizes local, sustainable ingredients in their courses and can accommodate both beginners and seasoned chefs. Right now, take advantage of the school’s Fall Classics course where you’ll prepare pumpkin bread, squash soup, pork chops in a mustard sauce and a cinnamon apple soufflé.
  • Dallas: The idea of cooking Greek food at home can be daunting, but after spending two-and-a-half hours in a cooking class at N Cuisine in Dallas, you’ll be up to the challenge. During this course you’ll learn to prepare a Greek salad, avgolemono soup, a roast lamb or chicken entree and a baklava parfait.
  • Vermont: This deal is a true culinary experience! Enjoy fall with a getaway to the Essex Resort & Spa, a AAA 4-Diamond resort in the mountain of Vermont. While there, you’ll have the opportunity to enroll in any number of courses including options on technique, quick meals and world cuisine.
