Airlines Offer Last-Minute Fares

Savvy travelers know that airfare can skyrocket for last-minute flights. However, if their destinations are flexible, airfare as much as half off regular prices can be found. Most major airlines, including Continental and American Airlines, routinely release last-minute sales for travel during the upcoming weekends.

Most of these sales are released Tuesday mornings. Monitor the Travelzoo airfare sections and the Top 20 list closely for some of the best fares we find. When searching airline websites for these sales, look for last-minute or sell-off fares. Be ready to make a quick decision, as most of these sales have short booking windows.
