Airfares Drop with Virgin America Sale, Fewer Taxes

Virgin America just launched a sale with the lowest fares we've seen from this award-winning airline in several months.

Routes like San Francisco-Las Vegas are just $49 each way, plus $139 each way for cross-country routes such as New York-Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale-San Francisco -- which are often $40-$50 more on this and other airlines.

An added bonus -- the current impasse over FAA funding means that taxes are lower on all fares booked right now. These cheap flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Dallas and more won't last long -- the sale ends Friday.
