2013 Restaurant Weeks Nationwide

For many travelers, visiting a new destination means new sights, new adventures, new people, and best of all, new food. If you’re a foodie with filet tastes on a burger budget, why not plan your next trip around a destination’s restaurant week?

Beginning now, food-centric tourists can pack up their palates and make like Anthony Bourdain on a culinary romp to more than a dozen cities from coast to coast offering affordable three-course menus at a city’s most-popular restaurants.

San Francisco (Jan. 15-31): The 12th annual Dine About Town features two-course lunches for $18.95 and three-course dinners for $36.95 per diner at hot spots like Farmer Brown in Union Square, Cocotte in Nob Hill and Soma’s Restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf. New York City (Jan. 14 - Feb. 8): Going on now, NYC Restaurant Week includes many Travelzoo Local Deals partners, including Alfama Restaurant, Bice Ristorante and the Nino’s family of restaurants. Philadelphia (Jan. 20-25; Jan. 27 - Feb. 1): City Center District Restaurant Week in Philadelphia features $35 dinners at Steven Starr restaurants including Buddakan, El Vez, and Continental Restaurant and Matini Bar.

Chicago (Feb. 1-10): From deep dish pizza to Michelin-rated restaurants, the Windy City remains the culinary mecca. Starting at $33, diners can savor dishes at popular institutions like The Berghoff, Ditka’s and Harry Caray’s plus celeb chef spots like Tony Mantuano’s Café Spiaggia and Bar Toma. Chicago hotel deals are up to 55% off over these dates.

Denver (Feb. 23 - March 8): Denver Restaurant Week offers couples the opportunity to dine in popular neighborhoods such as Cherry Creek, LoDo, Wash Park and even nearby Boulder for $52.80 per party of two.

Las Vegas (March 8-15): Now in its sixth year, Las Vegas Restaurant Week gives diners the chance to help those in need. With every meal sold, each restaurant will donate up to $6 to help reach the goal of feeding 300,000 people in Southern Nevada. Over these deals, Las Vegas hotel deals include 5-star properties as well as savings of up to half off current rates.

Boston (March 17-22, 24-29): Meals will range from $15.13-$38.13 at old standbys and culinary hot spots throughout the Boston metro area.

Providence (Jan. 13-26): Discover why Travel + Leisure readers voted Providence the No. 1 Food City in the U.S. in 2012 during the city’s highly-anticipated winter restaurant week. Diners can feast on the city’s best cuisine for $14.95-$29.95 per person or take advantage of the two-for-one specials. 

Houston (Aug. 1-31): Houston's "week" lasts the entire month of August; last year's event featured well over 100 restaurants like Quattro, Frank’s Chop House, and Smith & Wollensky. It also raised $1,222,735 to fight hunger in Houston.

Washington, D.C. (Feb. 4-10): Indulge in three-course menus in the nation’s capital for $20-$35 per person. With over 200 restaurants to choose from, travelers can pick from an array of cuisine such as contemporary, Italian, Mediterranean, French and more.
