175 Days to Love Chicago Events

Although us cynical Chicagoans are bracing for that one last snowstorm of the winter, we’re basking in the current temperate weather, a sign that spring is really much closer than we think.

The change of seasons comes with lighter jackets and tees, with restaurants and bars throwing open their windows and inviting patrons to dine on their outdoor patios and throw back a few in their beer gardens.

This March also marks the city’s demisemiseptcentennial (175th) anniversary, with 175 Days to Love Chicago featuring dedicated exhibits and events citywide celebrating Chicago’s rich history.

ExploreChicago.com, the city's official tourism website, has compiled a day-by-day calendar marking the festivities being held through Aug. 26 from Sox territory up to Wrigley. Events, many of which are free, cater to families, foodies, Mag Mile shoppers and more.

In town to celebrate? Get in the spring fever, and visit the city with these deals.
