The San Francisco Symphony has an eclectic lineup of shows this summer, including a special organ concert featuring a silent film. The legendary Johnny Mathis is also performing two special shows with the award-winning symphony.
- Johnny Mathis performs with the San Francisco Symphony on Friday and Saturday, July 5-6. Second Tier tickets are $31.50 (reg. $45); upgrade to Orchestra for $66.50 (reg. $95).
- "Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin with Cameron Carpenter" is on Sunday, July 28. The film is considered to be one of the most influential silent films in history. Second Tier tickets are $7.50 (reg. $15); upgrade to Orchestra for $20 (reg. $40).
- Jessye Norman performs the American Songbook on Friday, Aug. 9. Songs by Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein and others will be performed. Norman has won five Grammy Awards and the 2009 National Medal of the Arts. Second Tier tickets are $20 (reg. $40); upgrade to Orchestra for $45 (reg. $90).
Premier, 1st Tier, Orchestra and additional seating categories are also discounted 50% for summer series shows. Note: The San Francisco symphony will not perform with the silent film, organ concert or with Jessye Norman.
