Alonzo King LINES Ballet -- the famed, San Francisco-based touring dance company -- celebrates its 30th anniversary season with a world-premiere program this weekend. The performance features music by bassist and composer Edgar Meyer, hailed by The New Yorker as "the most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively unchronicled history of his instrument."

Due to the high demand of this program, a new performance has been announced, and Travelzoo subscribers are among the first to get access to seats at 30% off. Get tickets to performances at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Sunday, April 28, at 1:00 p.m. Choose from three seating sections:

  • Premium Side Seats Orchestra & Terrace ... $31, regularly $45
  • Side & Upper Center Orchestra, & Terrace Center Front ... $38, regularly $55
  • Center Orchestra ... $45, regularly $65

The talented LINES Ballet dancers will be backed by Meyer -- whose background spans classical, bluegrass and jazz genres -- with violinist Rob Moose and cellist Gabriel Cabezas.

The program will conclude with a special trilogy of excerpts from three decades of dance including the highly praised 1994 piece "Ocean" with recorded music by Pharoah Sanders and a commissioned score by El Hamideen.

Book by April 27.
