Called “fascinating, poetic, enigmatic and bittersweet” by The New York Times, the "Shostakovich Trilogy" is a tribute to Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich by American Ballet Theatre Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky. In this West Coast premiere, the "Shostakovich Trilogy" explores Ratmansky’s relationship with his native country through powerful music, athletic choreography, and thought-provoking scenic design by George Tsypin (director of the Sochi Olympics opening ceremony).
