San Francisco Opera's "The Barber of Seville" at War Memorial Opera House is "elegant, effervescent and deliciously funny," according to San Jose Mercury News. Tickets are 50% off to select performances of Rossini's comic masterpiece that proves love conquers all.

All tickets are 50% off, for Tuesday-Thursday performances -- $16.50-$156 (reg. $33-$312) -- and Friday-Saturday performances -- $33.50-$178.50 (reg. $67-$357) -- for the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m.

Note: The $16.50 lead rate is available on all weeknight performances except for Wednesday, Nov. 13. That is an Opera Vision performance with seats starting at $40.50.

In the laugh-out-loud comedy, Figaro, the barber, must ensure that Count Almaviva can marry lovely Rosina before her old guardian drags her to the altar himself.
