The Disney musical "Newsies" will be on Broadway through Aug. 19, and Travelzoo subscribers can now access a sale on tickets for the show Entertainment Weekly calls an "irresistible, high-energy winner."
Front Mezzanine and select Orchestra seats are $89 (regularly up to $122) for most performances June 11 - Aug. 19.
Hailed by The New York Times as "a musical worth singing about," "Newsies" was recently nominated for eight Tony Awards including Best Musical. The story was inspired by the real-life newsboy strike of 1899, when a band of underdogs took on the biggest names in publishing to fight for justice and fair pay. The score was written by eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken ("Beauty and the Beast").
Not Included: Saturday and Sunday matinees; June 13 (matinee), 15-16, 22-23, 30; July 5, 14, 21, 28; Aug. 11
Travelzoo Tip: In this theater, Front Mezzanine seats are closer to the stage than many seats in the Orchestra. The elevation also creates the best views of the "dazzlingly athletic choreography" (USA Today).
