A new adaptation of the holiday classic "A Christmas Carol" hit New York City this season, and Travelzoo subscribers can save $16 on tickets. Created by Patrick Barlow, a Tony Award winner for "The 39 Steps," the show is "whimsical, imaginative and a lot of fun" (The New Yorker).
Most performances through Jan. 4 are $59 (reg. $75).
Although "A Christmas Carol" is one of the most widely viewed holiday productions, Stage Magazine praised this version's uniqueness when it opened at Delaware Theatre Company last year, saying "if you think you've seen it all before, just wait." Featuring just five actors, the show takes place in the 151-seat Theatre at St. Clements, which is modeled after a 16th-century guild chapel.
