"Of all the musicals hatched in the post-2000 age of irony, this cheeky satire has remained the freshest and funniest," says Variety of the hit musical "Avenue Q." The show is offering its deepest discount of the year on performances Jan. 6 - March 30 at New World Stages.
All seats at Sunday through Friday performances are $40, regularly $73-$93, including Orchestra and First Row Mezzanine.
"Rent" meets "Sesame Street" in this hilarious and touching story of real life in New York City, told by a cast of both people and puppets. Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad, comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. He discovers Avenue Q -- the only neighborhood in his price range -- and commiserates with his new neighbors on everything from jobs to dating. The 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Note: This show is for mature audiences only and not recommended for children.
