$32 & up -- 'The Nutcracker' at Hammerstein Ballroom*

By Kristyn Schiavone

Since it was first danced in 19th-century Russia to Tchaikovsky's original score, “The Nutcracker” ballet has become a worldwide holiday favorite. Travelzoo subscribers have an early opportunity to save up to $30 per ticket for Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker” this season.

The following seating levels are available for the 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. performances Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom:

  • Second Balcony ... $31.50 (reg. $43)
  • Second Balcony Front ... $51.50 (reg. $66)
  • First Balcony ... $68 (reg. $88)
  • Orchestra ... $93 (reg. $123)

With handmade costumes and classical choreography, "The Great Russian Nutcracker" pays homage to the original ballet. The New York Times praises the "elegant" and "expansive" dancing in Moscow Ballet's production.
