Distinguished Concerts International will present two programs at Carnegie Hall over Martin Luther King Day weekend: "Of Life & Liberty," a selection of patriotic pieces, and "The Music of Karl Jenkins," an annual tribute to the Welsh composer. Tickets start at just $10 for Travelzoo subscribers.

The following seating levels are available for "Of Life & Liberty" Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m., or "The Music of Karl Jenkins" Monday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m.:

  • Parquet Sides ... $10 (reg. $20)
  • Second Tier ... $30 (reg. $60)
  • First Tier & Parquet Prime ... $50 (reg. $100)

"Of Life & Liberty" includes the New York premiere of "Requiem for the Living" by composer-in-residence Dan Forrest, and also features the Distinguished Concert Singers International performing Randall Thompson's "The Testament of Freedom" and Mark Hayes' "The Gettysburg Address." "The Music of Karl Jenkins," performed in honor of the composer's 70th birthday, is a collection of his works including the U.S. premiere of "The Bards of Wales."
