The Jacobs Music Center hosts two unique performances this February: a multimedia show featuring Wagner's "Ring Cycle" and Howard Shore's "Lord of the Rings" score; and a performance by Irish Grammy winners The Chieftains. Tickets are now 50% off and start at $10.  

Main GA tickets to "The Ring of Power" on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. cost $10 (reg. $20). Tickets to The Chieftains on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. cost:

  • $10 (reg. $25) ... Main 5
  • $15 (reg. $30) ... Mezzanine 2, Main 4
  • $20 (reg. $40) ... Main 3

Note: San Diego Symphony will not perform at The Chieftains concert.

The Chieftains have won six Grammy Awards over the course of their 50-year history and will play a special tribute to Nelson Mandela at this show. "The Ring of Power" will be hosted by Nuvi Mehta, who will delve into the battle between good and evil in "Ring Cycle" and the LOTR score.
