Inspired by actual events and called "a rockin', bluesy favorite" by the Chicago Tribune, "Memphis" is a Tony Award winner for Best Musical in 2010. Tickets for performances March 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. are now up to 35% off through Sunday.

The following seating levels at Moran Theater at Times-Union Center are on sale:

  • $31.40 (reg. $47) ... 2nd Orchestra Sides (KK-QQ) & Balcony Sides (HH-NN)
  • $37.40 (reg. $57) ... Balcony Center (HH-NN)
  • $43.40 (reg. $67) ... 2nd Orchestra Sides (AA-JJ) and Loge

Set in racially segregated Tennessee, "Memphis" follows a white radio DJ who tries to change the world and an African American club singer looking for a big break. The New York Times says its music "evokes the powerhouse funk of James Brown, the hot guitar riffs of Chuck Berry and the smooth harmonies of the Temptations." The score was written by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.

Book by March 9.
